Terahertz echo oscillator tunable terahertz source BWO terahertz generator, commonly known as return wave tube, is a classic terahertz source. It is a microwave electron tube that uses the interaction between an electron beam and a slow wave line to generate oscillations. Currently, only BWO has the ability to achieve broadband tuning and high-power output above 0.1Hz. Therefore, it can be applied to the local oscillator of low-noise heterodyne receivers, in low background radio astronomy observations, remote sensing of comets, Earth, and other planetary atmospheres, to understand the structure and evolution of the Milky Way and its nearby extragalactic media through high-resolution observations of important matter molecules.
Microtech QS1-370 is an intermediate frequency signal source that can be combined with a frequency multiplier to achieve a practical range of 1 THz or higher. It can provide more power in the 300 GHz range than any other source in the same series. This system offers multiple different models that can be tuned in different spectral ranges. This device can be quickly configured for different ranges mentioned above, making it an excellent choice for terahertz sources in a wide range of research and industrial applications. QS1-370 BWO can be pre assembled into MS-0.6 magnetic systems or used with any other MS-X.X system provided by Microtech. The operation of QS1-370 also requires a high-voltage power supply, such as VR-6M, and a water cooling system. The power supply can also choose to add a smaller modulation voltage to broaden the spectral lines, which helps prevent standing waves from appearing in the optical device. In addition, the use of Microtech's DAU control devices greatly improves the usability of the QS1 system.
